A 'Marlborough Old English Ironstone' oval platter decorated with a freshwater fish, dragonfly, crustacean and water plants by Simpsons (Potters) Ltd. This lovely plate has a latticed border and gently scallopped edge with green trim.
Diameter: 16" x 11" / 40 cm x 28 cm approximately at widest points
Dates mid 20th century
The plate is in excellent condition commensurate with its age, with minimal surface wear. There is one very small chip to the reverse, which is only noticeable when you look for it (please refer to image).
