This is a stunning pair of vintage Yves Saint Laurent heart-shaped clip on extra large earrings.
Crafted in gold coloured metal, the earrings are stamped YSL on the reverse and on the ear clips.
Beautifully crafted and in very good vintage condition commensurate with their age, which dates 1980s.
The heart has been the emblem of the House of Saint Laurent since the 1960s. Yves St. Laurent is quoted as saying 'without an elegance of the heart, there is no elegance' and each season a heart was placed on his favourite model on the runway; thus the heart became a symbol of the house, seen across heritage and contemporary design.
