A vintage Christian Dior silver tone chain necklace with dice pendant.
The pendant captures the essence of luxury and playful elegance. Featuring the iconic letters "D", "i", "o", and "r" on four of its faces, it pays homage to the timeless allure of Dior. The remaining faces are adorned with the classic dice markings of three and six. The end of chain is adorned with two charms: 'D' for Dior, and a flower charm hallmarked Dior.
Dimensions: The necklace can be worn at 38 cm - 44 cm | 15 ,17 ½ inches / 44.5 cm with extender chain. The dice measures 0.75 cm / 0.3 inches
The chain and charms are in very good vintage condition with some small marks to the dice commensurate with age.
Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour in women's fashion, which appealed to the mood of post-war society. Christian Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his garments in 1948.
