A glorious watercolour painting of the iconic view over the lake at Blenheim Palace, by artist Rod Craig.

This painting forms part of a collection of Rod's recent work, 'Winter Watermarks,' to be held at Kingfisher Art in Chipping Norton 2nd-30th December.

In this painting Rod has focused on the interaction between snow, light and colour and says: ‘I painted this from memory and a very quick sketchbook drawing done early one snowy morning. Such a familiar view, transformed by a beautiful mysterious light under an ominous blue/grey sky.

About the Artist

Rod Craig has had numerous solo exhibitions in the UK and in New York. Rod's painting 'One World' was awarded first price in the 'Hope and Humanity in the Commonwealth' exhibition in 2022 and his watercolour' Before the Deluge; was selected by the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours for exhibition at their annual show in Spring 2023.
