A stunning pair of Christian Dior large statement earrings, signed Chr. Dior © Germany to the reverse.

The earrings feature a large oval mabe pearl with lovely lustre, surrounded by gold-plated rope twist edging.

Beautifully crafted and in excellent condition commensurate with their age which dates 1980s.

Dimensions:  3.2 cm x 2.5 cm at widest point

Christian Dior (1905-1957) was one of the most celebrated couturiers of the 20th century. In 1947 Dior launched the 'New Look' collection celebrating ultra-femininity and glamour in women's fashion, which appealed to the mood of post-war society. Christian Dior launched his first collection of fashion jewellery to complement his garments in 1948.
